Rental Property Refresh
Our clients had recently purchased an older rental property that needed a practical update before welcoming new tenants. The kitchen and adjoining living areas were very dated, with timber wall panelling, ageing cabinetry and tired finishes throughout. Our clients wanted a straightforward renovation that would brighten the property, improve its functionality and provide durable finishes suited to everyday rental use.

Our clients had recently purchased an older rental property that needed a practical update before welcoming new tenants. The kitchen and adjoining living areas were very dated, with timber wall panelling, ageing cabinetry and tired finishes throughout. Our clients wanted a straightforward renovation that would brighten the property, improve its functionality and provide durable finishes suited to everyday rental use.
Project Brief
Create a clean, practical and easy-to-maintain interior that would modernise the property without overcapitalising. The renovation needed to be completed within a short timeframe and include a new kitchen, updated wall finishes and fresh internal trims, while working with the home’s existing layout and flooring.
Outcome
The finished property feels brighter, cleaner and much more inviting. The old timber panelling was removed, the walls were sheeted and painted. New skirting boards and architraves gave the rooms a neat, consistent finish. In the kitchen, simple grey cabinetry, light benchtops and a fresh white splashback created a practical and modern space without making the renovation feel overdone. By keeping the design straightforward and working with the property’s existing footprint, we were able to deliver a noticeable transformation within three weeks. The result is a refreshed, low-maintenance home that is better suited to tenants and ready for its next chapter.

Full-Width Bifold Door Installation
The original rear wall contained a conventional sliding-door opening that limited access, natural light and the connection to the entertaining area outside. The existing opening was substantially widened, requiring careful demolition, temporary support and new structural work before the doors could be installed. The result is a brighter, more open living area with a flexible transition between indoors and outdoors.

Seamless Alfresco Addition
A generous covered entertaining area and back deck. The key to the build was making sure the new addition felt like it had always been part of the property. We carefully matched the existing brickwork, roof tiles and architectural details, while creating a practical alfresco area with lighting, power and a wider connection between the home and backyard.
